Demi Setara, or ‘For Equality’ in Bahasa Indonesia, presents research projects and other initiatives in Indonesia and elsewhere that seek to understand the social and politico-economic dimensions of inequality and how these are addressed.

During the research trips in 2019 our team took many photographs of the women and village members they met and places they visited. These photographs document their research, the everyday lives of women and the activities of women’s groups in villages throughout Indonesia.
